Finance & Taxation Compliance The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on September 28, 2026, has extended the due dates for filing certain Income Tax Returns (ITRs) and audit reports for Assessment Year 2026-27.

The following has been stated:

The due date for furnishing the Return of Income for AY 2026-27 has been extended from October 31, 2026 to November 21, 2026 for the persons covered under the specified category. Consequently, the due date for furnishing the applicable audit report has been extended from September 30, 2026 to October 21, 2026.
